Ford Mustang Mach-E Gets Special Discount For Uber Drivers

Back in June 2023, the new Ford Drive leasing pilot program officially launched for Uber drivers in select U.S. cities, giving those drivers the chance to lease the Ford Mustang Mach-E in one- to four-month increments, depending on their location, and they could take delivery of those vehicles in around two weeks. The purpose of this program was to make it easier for Uber drivers to go electric, and now, those same folks have an additional discount they can take advantage of, too.

According to a dealer bulletin recently seen by CarsDirect, the new Uber Driver Incentive providers drivers with a discount of $3,000 off the lease of purchase of a 2024 and 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E model, now through March 31st, 2025. There is a bit of fine print here, however, as drivers must have an active Uber account with more than 100 rides logged to date, but otherwise, it’s a pretty easy way for those who qualify to score an extra discount on a new EV.

It is worth noting that leasing may not be the best route for Uber drivers given the mileage restrictions involved – and steep fees for those that exceed those mileage limits, but Ford is also offering zero percent financing for 72 months for qualified buyers, plus $2,500 off the MSRP of a new Mach-E. This means that Uber drivers who prefer to purchase a Ford Mustang Mach-E can take advantage of that zero percent financing for 72 months if they qualify, plus a total of $5,500 off MSRP when we combine these two discounts.

Late last year, Ford opted to extend its EV referral program – which offers customers referred by existing owners $500 off the MSRP of a Ford Mustang Mach-E or Ford F-150 Lightning – for the second time since it originally launched, a move that’s aimed at maintaining the momentum of its upward all-electric vehicle sales going amid a general downward shift in demand.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
