The 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor made its North American debut in May 2023, offering a high-performance, off-road-ready option for buyers seeking a midsize yet capable pickup. Now that we’ve had some time to appreciate the Ranger Raptor in all its tough, off-road glory, today, Ford Authority highlights the high performance pickup in the following photo gallery.
The Ford Ranger Raptor stands out from the rest of the Ranger lineup thanks to a variety of unique details. Onlookers are greeted with bold “Ford” script emblazoned across the grille, which takes the place of the Blue Oval insignia found on “regular” Ranger trims. It gets a special bumper that’s designed to look tougher than the rest of the Ranger line with tow hooks built right in, along with flared fenders and a vented hood up top.
The Ford Ranger Raptor sports a set of side steps and body color door handles, but the dead giveaway to its high-performance lineage are the “Raptor” graphics behind the rear wheels. It also gets a set of 17-inch Gray-painted aluminum wheels with 33-inch all-terrain tires, ready for tough terrain right off the showroom floor. The Ranger Raptor also features a unique rear bumper with a black Ford oval and bold Raptor badging on the tailgate.
Inside, the Ford Ranger Raptor offers leather-trimmed bucket seats, ambient lighting, and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel. Infotainment duties are handled by the 12-inch center stack display paired with a separate 12-inch digital instrument cluster, while audio is piped through a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system with HD Radio.
Of course, the Ford Ranger Raptor has numerous mechanical upgrades that make it more than just a pretty face. It harnesses the twin-turbocharged 3.0L EcoBoost V6, which delivers a healthy 405 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque (although there’s an aftermarket tune available that bumps that to 455 horsepower). Power is delivered to all four wheels by way of the 10-speed automatic transmission. Drivers can choose from a list of selectable drive modes that optimize vehicle subsystems for various driving scenarios, including Normal, Sport, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Off-Road, Rock Crawl, and Baja. It also gets Fox racing shocks all around, along with skid plates to protect its underbody from errant rocks.
The Ranger Raptor has been critically acclaimed for its spirited performance, turning heads as one of The Blue Oval’s best modern vehicles. The good news is there’s plenty of time to get your hands on the high-performance pickup, as Ford plans to continue its production well into the 2028 calendar year.
