Jim Farley Says Ford Mobilizing To Aid LA Wildfire Recovery

Over the years, we’ve seen Ford spring into action and help out wherever help might be needed in the wake of natural disasters. That includes everything from devastating tornadoes, hurricanes, fires, flooding, and just about anything else one can think of. Ford routinely sends vehicles, donates money, and provides boots on the ground when these types of things happen, so it’s no surprise to see that The Blue Oval also intends to help out in any way it possibly can as wildfires ravage Los Angeles, California at the moment.

“My heart goes out to everyone affected by the wildfires in California,” Ford CEO Jim Farley said in a recent post on Threads. “I’ve spoken to friends, Ford employees and dealers in the area, some who have evacuated or lost their homes. Ford is mobilizing to help support the recovery in the days and weeks ahead. Grateful for the heroic first responders doing all they can for those affected.”

Last year alone, Ford helped out in the wake of multiple natural disasters in various ways, too. First, it created the Ford Bronco Wildland Firefighting Command Rig, which it donated via the Bronco Wild Fund to the National Park Service for use in Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico, where it will operate a firefighting command vehicle. That area has a history of natural fire occurrences, highlighting the need for such an effort.

Along with using Ford F-150 pickups equipped with Pro Power Onboard to help those impacted by power outages, The Blue Oval also supports Team Rubicon – an organization that provides disaster relief across the United States – and helped it form a disaster plan for the aftermath of Hurricane Helene even before it ravaged multiple states last year. Just this past November, Ford mobilized a group of volunteers to help recover from devastating floods in Valencia, Spain, too.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
