Kiddie Amusement Ford F-100 Children’s Ride Up For Auction

While we come across all kinds of cool, valuable, collectible, and downright unusual Ford vehicles for auction on a regular basis, that list of goods also includes things like memorabilia such as signs or other things that one might want to show off in various ways. This list also includes things like go karts or other small rides geared toward younger folks as well – whether they be collectible or the kind that one might simply want to gift to their children or grandchildren. Now, that list has grown to include this very cool Ford F-100 kiddie ride, too.

This 1980s style Ford F-100 kiddie ride is up for auction at Bring a Trailer, after it was originally built by Kiddie Amusement Inc. in Florence, Mississippi, and later refurbished and modified by Big Boy Toys Limited out of Oklahoma to resemble a Ford F-100 pickup. The ride has been refinished in blue with white-painted accents, and features LED taillights, grille and front lighting stickers, a faux hood scoop, and silver-painted bumpers, windows, and rear Ford script.

The Ford F-100 kiddie ride is also equipped with black multi-spoke wheels wrapped with molded plastic Power Wheels Ultimate Terrain Traction tires, while the inside has room for two with a pair of molded seats – the front one sporting blue paint with white stripes. There’s also a three-spoke steering wheel, a dash panel, and a red horn button inside, while the original coin mechanism has been removed. Now, to operate the electric-powered ride, one simply presses the coin return button, at which point it plays the Toby Keith song Ford Truck Man.

This is the first time we’ve come across a Ford F-100 kiddie ride at auction, interestingly enough, but it has been preceded by plenty of go karts. That list includes a go kart modified to look like a vintage Ford Model T, another like a Fox Body Ford Mustang, and one that resembles a street rodded roadster from the past.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
