Lifted Ford Super Duty Pulls Dumb Stunt, Avoids Tipping: Video

We’ve certainly seen our fair share of downright dumb things people have done behind the wheel of all kinds of vehicles over the years, many of which have proven to be quite dangerous – and in some cases, resulting in injuries or much worse. Many of these videos involve the Ford Super Duty, a true workhorse of the automotive world that’s incredibly capable of hauling and towing heavy loads, but on the flip side, some folks just like them because they’re, well, big and imposing. That’s clearly the case with this wild video showing a lifted Ford Super Duty driver pulling off an impressive yet not terribly smart stunt on public roads.

The short clip shows the Ford Super Duty driver tooling around a public road and proceeding to lift the driver’s side front tire off the ground, after which he pulls a complete 180 without that piece of rubber touching the pavement. Honestly, it’s sort of impressive to see, but also, it’s worth noting that the driver could have easily smashed into another vehicle without even potentially seeing it – meaning that, well, this sort of stunt should probably be reserved for closed courses, which is the case with most vehicular shenanigans.

In any event, this certainly isn’t the first time we’ve seen a Ford Super Duty driver doing something silly on public roads, either. Last May, video surfaced of a man laying down in the back seat of his Super Duty while letting a pair of weighted bags on his steering wheel – plus the truck’s advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) – do the driving for him while tooling down the highway at 80 mph. Then, last September, we saw a video of another Super Duty driver cut around a couple of vehicles stopped for a school bus and proceed to rip up their own grass after they were apparently too impatient to wait a few seconds for it to move on, too.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  5. He disconnected the rear sway bar and engaged the rear locker or has a rear limited slip differential. Jeep TJs do it under the same circumstances. There’s little chance of rolling since his suspension is maxed out and he’s not going fast at all.

  6. He disconnected the rear sway bar and either engaged his rear locker or has a limited slip rear differential. When he turns the force of the locked rear diff lifts the inside front of the vehicle. Jeeps do it all the time under the same conditions, as does any other lifted vehicle with solid axles with the same configuration. There’s no chance of rolling it going that slow.
