Lincoln Nautilus Satisfaction Rated First For Midsize Luxury SUVs

Since its launch, the all-new, redesigned 2024 Lincoln Nautilus has garnered its fair share of accolades from both critics and owners alike. However, even before that totally new luxurious crossover debuted, the prior-generation Nautilus was already a favorite among its owners, landing on the list of the most satisfying SUVs on the market by members of Consumer Reports some time ago. Now, those same members have ranked the Lincoln Nautilus above its peers in terms of the most satisfying vehicles one can buy right now, too.

In the most recent list of the most satisfying vehicles on the market, Consumer Reports members ranked the Lincoln Nautilus first in the luxury mid-size SUV space, which is based on the results of the organization’s owner surveys. Coming up with this particular list is a rather simple process – Consumer Reports takes a look at its annual auto surveys, or more specifically, a single question that it asks its members – would they buy the same vehicle again if given the chance? The percentage of people that say “yes” is equal to that model’s owner satisfaction score, and each vehicle’s ranking is based on that particular number.

The Lincoln Nautilus topped its segment in that regard this time around, and was joined by the Ford Bronco, which was named as the most satisfying mid-size two-row SUV, results based on 300,000 owner surveys. As CR points out, models that achieve these honors are typically the ones that offer up more than just a regular sort of automotive experience – rather, they have plenty of performance, capability, luxurious features, standout efficiency, or any combination of those qualities.

This sort of award is nothing new for the Lincoln Nautilus, as another study conducted by S&P Global Mobility last year found that the luxurious crossover led all vehicles in terms of model loyalty at 46.7 percent through the first half of 2024. Shortly thereafter, the Nautilus was also named MotorTrend‘s 2025 SUV of the Year, too.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. I don’t have a subscription to Consumer Reports. But if I was asked if I would buy my Nautilus again, my answer would have to be no. However, when our Nautilus hybrid SUV starts and runs I am one of the happiest car owners on the planet. I love all the techie panel things. I love the color black over red which draws a lot of eyes and compliments. Drawback is when I go outside of a morning and hold my breath until I see that it’s gonna start.
