With the start of the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) campaign right around the corner, M-Sport Ford is looking forward to kicking off the season in just a few days’ time. With a stellar lineup of drivers poised to take the Ford Puma Rally1 out for its first competitive run this year, M-Sport is more than ready for the green flag to drop at Rallye Monte-Carlo 2025.
Grégoire Munster and Louis Louka, the pairing spearheading M-Sport Ford efforts this year, are both experienced on dry Tarmac and full-snow racing conditions. The duo tested in the Hautes-Alpine region in preparation for the season’s only mixed-surface event. It’s Munster’s sixth outing at Rallye Monte-Carlo, but only his second at the Rally1 level. Last year’s run saw Munster post top-five stage times and he expects to build on that performance this year.
Josh McErlean and Eoin Treacy, the newest additions to the M-Sport Ford stable, will take on Monte-Carlo for the first time in a Ford Puma Rally1. McErlean has one race at Monte-Carlo under his belt already, although this will be his first turn in Rally1 machinery.
The forthcoming Rallye Monte-Carlo 2025 will be the event’s historic 93rd running. It will be preceded by a ceremonial start in the Place du Casino in Monaco before transitioning to the base in Gap, which is located in the southern French Alps.
“It has been a busy few months getting everything into place for the first round of the season, but still we have once again managed it thanks to the committed and dedicated hard work from all the team. I would like to thank them, and all our other partners that continue to support us in the WRC,” said Richard Millener, M-Sport Ford Team Principal, in a press release. “I am very much looking forward to 2025, it will be interesting to see how we can progress over the season. There are many new challenges ahead but I look forward to once again working with a young and determined driver line-up.”
Rallye Monte-Carlo 2025 will kick off on January 23rd, 2025, concluding on January 26th.
