Michigan Will Gain Another Ford’s Garage Restaurant This Summer

Since opening its first location a few years ago, Ford’s Garage – an officially licensed restaurant chain that features a Blue Oval theme and loads of cool memorabilia – has grown at a rather rapid rate. Ford’s Garage continues to not only open new locations across the U.S., but also announce additional forthcoming expansions, too. There are already multiple locations of this particular restaurant in The Blue Oval’s home state of Michigan, but now, that same state is set to gain yet another Ford’s Garage location this summer.

According to the Macomb Daily, the latest Ford’s Garage location is set to open some time this summer in Utica, Michigan, which is roughly 30 miles north of Detroit. The new restaurant will take the place of Buca di Beppo on Hall Road near the M-53 expressway. “We’ve been looking to get into the Golden Corridor for 18 months now,” said owner Billy Downs. “Over the past seven years, we’ve heard a lot of guests from Macomb County in our other restaurants express interest in Ford’s. We’re super-excited to deliver that product.”

Back in September 2022, Ford’s Garage announced plans to build four more locations in Michigan – all in the Metro Detroit area – but the chain has expanded in various other parts of the U.S. as well. That same year, owners expressed a desire to open multiple locations in Tennessee, and just last year, Ford’s Garage restaurants were slated to open in Short Pump, Virginia, as well as Rosemont, Illinois and Long Island – the latter being its very first location in the state of New York.

After starting out sans the automaker’s official blessing, Ford’s Garage eventually became an official licensee of FoMoCo some time later, and hasn’t looked back since. Each location is designed to look like a vintage gas station, complete with all sorts of historic Ford memorabilia. As far as food goes, the focus is on classic American fare such as hamburgers and other types of comfort food, with plenty of craft beer on tap, too.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
