Poll: Is The 2025 Ford Expedition Cabin An Improvement Over 2024?

Big changes hit the 2025 Ford Expedition, from a completely redesigned exterior to an all-new cabin. Ford Authority already checked in with readers to find out where you stand on the redesign, asking if you thought the 2025 model was an improvement or if it would have been better off left alone. The general consensus seems to be that the 2025 Expedition is a lot better looking than its 2024 model year predecessor, at least from the outside, but we want to know – do you think the interior in the 2025 model is better than that of the 2024?

Just like the exterior, the 2025 Ford Expedition interior received a complete redesign, highlighted by the 24-inch panoramic display front and center. This display encompasses the instrument cluster and relays other important information – like navigation – to the driver. It’s paired with a separate 13.2-inch center screen, which is responsible for infotainment duties like media selection. Both screens operate Ford Digital Experience software, which offers integrated features such as Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Play, a Wi-Fi hotspot where applicable, and Alexa Built-In.

Comparatively, the 2024 Expedition features a pair of screens, including a “productivity” screen behind the steering wheel, which displays messages, outside temperature, speed, and other trip computer data to the driver. It’s situated between a traditional analog tachometer and speedometer. The 2024 Expedition XL and XLT trims get a 12-inch LCD touchscreen affixed to the center stack, while Timberline, Limited, and Platinum trims feature a larger 15.5-inch center screen instead. These center stack screens are arranged in a more upright position than that of the 2025 model, which features a portrait orientation and takes up less of the dashboard.

There’s more to the 2025 Ford Expedition than just its cockpit and screens – it also gets a unique feature for second-row passengers that wasn’t previously available on the 2024 model year SUV. The front seatbacks feature tablet holders that are adjustable to fit nearly any device, eliminating the need for built-in entertainment screens, as previously reported by Ford Authority.

Now that we’ve discussed the finer points of both interiors, we want to know what you think. Let us know by voting in the poll below, and join the discussion in our comments section.

  1. I like the 2025 better except for the steering wheel. I think we call it a wheel because it is round and after 60 years of driving a lot of Fords, round is what I like.

  2. I prefer the 2024 it has the F 150 cluster and steering wheel

  3. Instead of circus tricks, how about a plug-in powerboost hybrid powertrain? Or even a factory convertible 2/3 second row seat. There are mountains of posts on the forums about folks converting from 7 seat to 8 seat or vice-versa.
