S550 Ford Mustang Driver Cuts Off, Rear Ends Same Car: Video

It’s always a shame when a pristine muscle car is damaged at the hands of an inattentive (or thoroughly unskilled) driver who has no business behind the wheel. A bright yellow S550 Ford Mustang was an unfortunate victim to such circumstances, and its demise was captured by a surveillance camera pointed at an intersection. The Mustang’s driver seems to have it out for a Renault Mégane waiting at the light, because he not only cuts them off, but circles back around to rear-end them for good measure.

While the video’s caption indicates the incident occurred in Germany, it actually happened in Czechia. According to a translated report from denik.cz, the driver of the Ford Mustang, which appears to be a GT500 tribute and not an actual GT500 model, was not supposed to be behind the wheel at all. The 50-year-old man did not have a valid driver’s license and was only supposed to be a passenger in the muscle car for a ride on his birthday. However, he somehow ended up behind the wheel – and what’s worse, he was drunk at the time of the crash.

In the video, the Ford Mustang waits at a traffic light, but not for long. The Renault Mégane appears to have right of way and begins a left turn, but the Mustang’s driver abruptly accelerates out of the light, cutting the Mégane off as he dives in front of it. The Mustang then proceeds to jump a median and mow down a sign before lunging back into traffic.

The Ford Mustang sheds it rear bumper cover at the apex of its turn before heading directly toward the poor Mégane, which is still stopped in the intersection. The Mustang slams into the Mégane’s rear bumper, finally bringing the bizarre traffic accident to an end.

A different Ford Mustang also completely butchered a left turn recently, seesawing across traffic before winding up in a ditch.
