The Ford Thunderbird has been absent from The Blue Oval’s lineup for quite a few years now, but used examples continue to prove popular on the collector car auction circuit, regardless. That phenomenon doesn’t just apply to older T-Birds, either – rather, we’ve seen quite a few tenth-generation examples of the long-running model that have been popping up for sale as of late, and they’re generally selling for solid sums as well. Now, this low-mile 1995 Ford Thunderbird is aiming to be the next on that growing list.
This 1995 Ford Thunderbird is up for auction at Bring a Trailer with just 16k miles showing on the odometer, and it’s an interesting example, to boot. That’s because it was used as a promotional vehicle, one fitted with a dealer-option aftermarket body kit and 40th Anniversary badges and lettering. Regardless, the T-Bird was subsequently sold to its last owner in 1996, and they held onto it until just this past August, and now, it’s looking for a new home again.
In addition to the aforementioned body kit and badging, this Ford Thunderbird is finished in Vibrant White Clearcoat with silver-finished lower-body accents, plus silver 15-inch wheels. Inside the cabin, one will find Opal Gray cloth seats with patterned inserts, along with amenities including air conditioning, cruise control, a trunk-mounted CD changer, and power windows, door locks, and mirrors. Power comes from Ford’s naturally-aspirated 4.6L V8, which in this guise sends 205 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque to the wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission.
In addition to this unique and cool model, we’ve seen quite a few other tenth-generation Ford Thunderbird coupes pop up at auction in recent months. That list includes another ’95 T-Bird with 22k miles, a 1991 model once owned by NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, and a 1990 Super Coupe with just 65k miles showing on the odometer.
