While it may seem hard to believe for some, a few vehicles – like the Lincoln Mark VIII – have been absent from the automotive world for quite some time at this point, in its case, following the 1998 model year. For quite a while, the Mark series offered customers stylish, luxurious, and comfortable modes of transportation, and as such, they’re quickly becoming sought-after collectibles, too. That certainly pertains to this 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC, which has been driven a mere 8k miles since it was sold new decades ago.
This 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII is currently up for auction at Bring a Trailer in like-new condition, as one might expect from that low mileage total, though it has lived with four owners thus far. On the outside, it sports near-perfect Deep Jewel Green Metallic paint along with a glass sunroof, automatic headlights, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets, and it rolls on a set of chromed directional wheels covering four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.
Inside the cabin, one will find Saddle leather power-adjustable front seats coupled with amenities including an AM/FM/cassette stereo, a trunk-mounted CD changer, a JBL audio system, a self-dimming cabin mirror, automatic climate control, cruise control, and power windows and locks, and there’s even a mobile phone located in the center console. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 4.6L V8, which in this guise was factory-rated to produce 280 horsepower and 285 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
Interestingly, this is just one of several nice, low-mile Lincoln Mark VIII coupes that we’ve seen pop up for auction as of late, with collector interest in this vehicles clearly growing. That list includes, most recently, a 1995 model with 22k miles showing on the odometer, as well as a 1998 Mark VIII that has traveled a mere 373 miles since it was sold new years ago.

While the 1984-92 Lincoln (Continental) Mark VII Bill Blass Series is my favorite of the offerings, I wouldn’t turn down a Mark VII. My first car in the mid-80’s was a ’76 Mark IV (in Maize over Brown leather and full vinyl top). A few years later, I owned an ’85 Mark VII (in Evergreen over Beige cloth). It was a very low mileage example then. I wish thousands of times over that I had kept it, but I was young and didn’t know the value of what I had.
*** … I wouldn’t turn down a Mark VII. *** Sorry!
*** … a Mark VIII.*** Autocorrect. Wow.
