The eleventh- (and last) generation Ford Thunderbird debuted during a time when a lot of folks thought that they could stash the retro-styled model away and one day flip them for a big profit, which has been the case with select vehicles over the years. However, that hasn’t quite been the case, though over the past few months, we’ve seen a plethora of last-generation Ford Thunderbird models surface for sale at collector car auctions – which is great for those in the market for such a machine. Now, they can also bid on this very low-mile 2002 T-Bird, too.
This 2002 Ford Thunderbird is up for auction at Bring a Trailer with just 3,300 miles showing on the odometer, and it has lived with just two owners thus far, in West Virginia and North Carolina. It’s finished in Inspiration Yellow with a matching painted removable hardtop, and a power-operated Midnight Black soft top, along with all of the requisite retro cues that we’ve come to know on these models. It rolls on a set of 17-inch wheels wrapped with Goodyear Assurance tires, and is equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and ventilated disc brakes.
Inside the cabin, one will find the same Inspiration Yellow color adorning various accents throughout – including in the center of the black leather seats – along with amenities such as dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and an AM/FM stereo with an in-dash CD changer. Power – as is the case with every Ford Thunderbird from this generation – comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 3.9L V8, which was originally rated to generate 252 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels.
In addition to this 2002 Ford Thunderbird, we previously spotted another, near-identical example with just 54 miles on the clock last April, as well as a red 2002 model with 20 miles, and a 2003 with less than 2k miles, to name just a few.

Boy, these sure seem to have been scooped up by folks hoping to collect down the road. Like the New Beetle. The VW makes me smile and this makes me want to hurl.
