The Ford Crown Victoria and its Panther platform counterparts were among the very last large, V8-powered, rear-wheel drive American sedans on the market, models that have since gone the way of the dinosaur, sadly enough. However, those that still love that kind of vehicle have plenty of nice examples to choose from on the collector car circuit, at least, and we’ve seen quite a few pop up for sale in recent months. Now, this 2004 Ford Crown Victoria joins that group, as it’s currently up for auction with just 10k miles showing on the odometer.
This 2004 Ford Crown Victoria is being auctioned off a Bring a Trailer, and is seeking a new owner after remaining with the very first one until October of last year, when the large sedan was acquired by the seller. As one might imagine given its incredibly low mileage total, this Crown Vic is in amazing condition, with no flaws noted on its Light Ice Blue Metallic paint, nor its 16-inch wheels, which are covered up by polished covers.
The interior of this Ford Crown Victoria is equally clean and devoid of flaws, with perfect Light Flint cloth covering its front bucket seats and rear bench. There are a few notable amenities present inside the cabin, such as power-adjustable pedals, cruise control, a CD stereo, and air conditioning. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 4.6L V8, which in this guise was factory-rated to produce 224 horsepower and 272 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
This is just the latest low-mile, ultra-clean Ford Crown Victoria or Panther platform car in general from this generation that we’ve spotted at auction in recent months, however. That list also includes a 2001 model with 53k miles on the clock, a 2005 with 10k miles, and a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis with 41k miles, to name just a few.
