2005 Ford Sport Trac Adrenalin Concept Is For Sale

Among the many concept vehicles that The Blue Oval has produced over the years, one of the most memorable from recent times is the 2005 Ford Sport Trac Adrenalin. Touted by Ford as “the world’s first high-performance sport-utility truck (SUT),” the Sport Trac Adrenalin concept was intended to preview a production version that would arrive packing a supercharged V8 underhood. That never happened, as the production Adrenalin was basically just an appearance package, but now, the original concept has surfaced for sale.

The original 2005 Ford Sport Trac Adrenalin is currently up for grabs in the No Miles Low Miles Facebook group with a rather lofty asking price of $135,000, but in all fairness, it appears to be in pretty excellent condition. It is being sold on a bill of sale and isn’t street legal, but then again, that’s typically the case with any concept vehicle. Regardless, since Ford only built one of these concepts, anyone who’s ever wanted it doesn’t exactly get this chance very often.

This one and only Ford Sport Trac Adrenalin concept has traded hands a few times over the years, however, having been auctioned on at least occasions. The seller acquired it via a Barrett-Jackson auction back in 2020 and has owned it ever since, but now, he’s apparently wanting to part ways with it given his desire to see it land somewhere where it can be properly stored or shown off. Whoever does take this concept home is getting a cool piece of Blue Oval history, one with a supercharged 4.6L V8 making 390 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque, a six-speed gearbox, and a specially-tuned transmission, among some unique styling bits.

This is just the latest of several Ford concept vehicles we’ve seen pop up for sale lately, however – a list that also includes the 2000 Ford Prodigy Prototype display model, the 2002 Ford Supercharged Thunderbird Concept, and the 24.7 Pickup Concept.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. Unfortunately it no longer has the terminator power plant. Supposedly it got blown up somehow & Ford dropped a much less exciting 4.6 2v in it. 😢
