Shelby American just resurrected the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 moniker in its latest creation, but we haven’t seen that name grace a from-the-factory Blue Oval product since the pony car’s S550 generation. As such, we’re starting to see previous-gen Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 models gain in terms of collector interest as well as value, and that trend doesn’t figure to let up anytime soon. Now, this 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 has surfaced for sale with a mere 7k miles on the clock, making it a suitable target for savvy collectors with an eye toward the future.
This Shelby GT350 is up for auction at Bring a Trailer, and it has remained in the possession of the same person since they purchased it new. That owner hasn’t driven it much over the years and clearly took good care of it, as the Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat paint shines like new, with no flaws noted on it or the over-the-top black racing stripes. It’s also equipped with black 19-inch wheels wrapped with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires measuring 295/35 up front and 305/35 in the rear, covering six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo brakes, plus MagneRide dampers.
Inside the cabin, one will find a pair of Recaro front sport seats upholstered in Ebony cloth and Miko suede, plus dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a rearview camera, a CD stereo, the SYNC 3 touchscreen infotainment system with voice-activated navigation, and a nine-speaker Shaker sound system. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated 5.2L V8 Voodoo engine, which was factory-rated to generate 526 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a Tremec TR-3160 six-speed manual transmission.
This is just the latest of many nice, low-mile S550-generation Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 models we’ve spotted at auction as of late. That list also includes a 2020 model with 5,600 miles on the clock, as well as a 2020 GT350R with a mere 43 miles.
