Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2023-2024 Ford Maverick pickups over an issue with nonfunctioning taillights. This new recall specifically pertains to models that were previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 24V-293.
The defect: in affected vehicles, the body control module (BCM) may inadvertently deactivate one or both rear taillights.
The hazards: rear taillights that fail to illuminate can reduce the vehicle’s visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Ford Motor Company is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this condition.
Components: body control module software
Affected vehicles: select 2023-2024 Ford Maverick models produced at the Hermosillo Assembly Plant from July 27th, 2021, to March 21st, 2024.
Number of vehicles affected: 2,711
The fix: dealers will update the body control module software, free of charge.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on March 31st, 2025. The Ford reference number for this recall is 25S07.

I just wanted to thank you guys for specifying in the article that this is for the REAR taillamps. So as not to be confused with the taillamps on the front of the vehicle.

Higher qualification are a must!
