2025 Ford Maverick Has Arrived In Mexico

The 2025 Ford Maverick debuted at the end of July, ushering in the compact pickup’s very first refresh since it launched for the 2022 model year. The revamped Maverick then officially landed at dealers in the U.S. back in late December, but of course, that isn’t the only market where consumers will be able to purchase one. In fact, the refreshed 2025 Ford Maverick has now arrived in Mexico, the same country where it’s built at the Hermosillo Assembly plant.

In Mexico, the 2025 Ford Maverick will be sold in just two trims, however – XLT and Lariat – though customers can choose from either the 2.5L hybrid powertrain or the turbocharged 2.0L I-4 EcoBoost gas engine. The hybrid pairs a gas engine running on the Atkinson cycle with a 94 kW electric motor and a 1.1 kWh battery to generate a combined 191 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque, while the EcoBoost powerplant churns out 250 horsepower and 277 pound-feet. The latter version –  when paired with all-wheel drive and the 4K Tow Package – can tow up to 1,814 kilograms (4,000 pounds).

Inside the cabin, the 2025 Ford Maverick gets some big upgrades in the form of a 13.2-inch infotainment screen as standard equipment, which replaces the old, outgoing eight-inch screen across the Maverick lineup and is paired with an eight-inch digital instrument cluster. In Mexico, the refreshed compact pickup starts out at $735,000 pesos ($36,261 USD).

Meanwhile, the 2025 Ford Maverick is just the latest new or refreshed product to launch in Mexico. That country also gained the all-new 2024 Ford Transit Custom just this past June in both cargo van and bus variants, with seating for either three or eight passengers in addition to the driver, followed by the refreshed 2025 Ford Explorer back in September in Active, Platinum and ST trims. The redesigned 2025 Ford Expedition is slated to join those models this coming spring as well, where it will be offered in both regular and extended-length Max configurations, in Active Max, Platinum, and Platinum Max guises.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

    2. I sort of thought that but ordered one anyway cuz I wanted the AWD. Traded my ’24 Lariat Hybrid for a ’25 Lariat Hybrid. Was a little nervous going to make the switch. Told my companion that I hope I made the right decision. As I pulled into the dealer lot and saw it sitting waiting for me we simultaneously said wow it looks really nice in person. The cameras seem to accentuate the front features that I hated. It’s just not camera friendly but definitly nice in person. Very happy with it. Got the green color and named it Froggy McTruck because of color and there is really a very subtle resemblance to a frog’s face inn a nice way.
