2025 Lincoln Corsair Engine Availability Outlined

The 2025 Lincoln Corsair affords its buyers the luxury of choice when it comes to powertrains. There are two engines offered in the luxury crossover, including a turbocharged four-cylinder and a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Ford Authority outlines all there is to know about these two powerhouses.

The 2025 Lincoln Corsair Premiere and Reserve harness the turbocharged 2.0L EcoBoost I4 engine as standard. That powerhouse is no slouch, rated at 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. This engine supports standard front-wheel-drive (FWD) or optional all-wheel-drive (AWD), and relays power via the eight-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy is rated at 22 mpg city and 30 mpg highway, or 25 mpg combined.

Meanwhile, the range-topping 2025 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring features the 2.5L I4 plug-in hybrid powertrain, good for 266 horsepower combined. This system relays power through the automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT), and is exclusively offered in conjunction with AWD. Fuel economy is rated at 33 mpg combined, or 34 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. It also can travel up to 27 miles on pure electric power, according to the EPA.

The 2025 Lincoln Corsair does not feature any groundbreaking changes compared to its outgoing 2024 model year counterpart. As a reminder, the Corsair underwent a midcycle refresh for the 2023 model year, gaining Sync 4 and Ford BlueCruise (then called Lincoln ActiveGlide) semi-autonomous driver assist features, along with refreshed styling both inside and out. Ford Authority also compiled a list of all packages offered on the 2025 Corsair.

However, for the 2025 model year, the Corsair loses Active Park Assist 2.0, which was previously available on the luxury crossover. To make up for this, though, it does gain subscription benefits that weren’t previously offered. The Corsair still gets a one-year trial for Lincoln Premium Connectivity, but now offers four years of Alexa Built-In.

  1. Best Corsair engine was 2.3L turbo four with 295HP. Why was this dropped?

  2. We have a 2023 Escape PHEV, the cousin to the Grand Touring. If you get 27 miles all electric range, you must be driving down a very long moutainside. I’m lucky to see 22 miles range when the temp drops below 60.

  3. We have a 2023 Escape PHEV, the Grand Touring’s cousin. We’re supposed to get 37-39 miles all electric range. We’re lucky to get 22 miles if the temp drops below 45F, haven’t seen over 30 miles otherwise. With all of 11,000 miles on it, something ain’t copacetic.
