2025 Steeda Q850 Streetfighter Debuts As New S650 Mustang Variant

Back in early 2023, Steeda unveiled its latest pony car-based creation – the Q850 StreetFighter, which was based on the S550-generation Ford Mustang GT. At the time, it was the long-time Mustang tuner’s most potent creation to date, as its Steeda/Whipple 3.0L Stage 2 supercharger system and various other mods help the stock 5.0L V8 Coyote engine crank out an impressive 825 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque. Now, that effort has been followed up with a brand new, S650-generation model – the just-unveiled 2025 Steeda Q850 StreetFighter.

Steeda has been working on developing its own upgrades for the S650 Mustang for some time now, having previously purchased a GT that later became the drag strip-focused Silver Bullet 2.0, as well as a Dark Horse for developmental purposes. Now, the 2025 Steeda Q850 StreetFighter is making its debut as the literal fruit of those efforts, as well as real-world testing conducted at Sebring International Raceway and the Nürburgring. It too is powered by a Whipple-supercharged 5.0L V8 Coyote engine generating 810 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque, for starters.

Underneath, the 2025 Steeda Q850 StreetFighter features the all-new G-Trac Fully Adjustable Suspension/Chassis Package, which is designed to help get all that power to the pavement effectively – in fact, it reportedly helped shave a whopping seven seconds off a stock Mustang’s lap time at Sebring alone.

The new setup consists of adjustable Steeda ProAction coilovers up front, ProAction rear shocks with height adjustment and custom spring rates, the Bump Steer Correction Kit, Billet Aluminum Subframe Support Bushing Inserts, Adjustable Sway Bars with CNC Billet Ends, G-Trac Front Chassis Bracing, Steeda’s IRS Subframe Bracing System, and beefier brakes. For those that want more, Steeda is also offering a Stage II suspension upgrade, plus a weight savings package that shaves 178 pounds.

On the outside, the 2025 Steeda Q850 StreetFighter features a carbon fiber package consisting of a lip spoiler, vents, mirror caps, and a rear wing, along with carbon fiber door sills inside. The interior also features a carbon fiber and leather steering wheel, plus a custom leather package that features premium materials and stitching, along with a four-point roll cage with a rear seat delete and six-point harnesses.

As is usually the case, the 2025 Steeda Q850 StreetFighter can be had with a wide array of options and upgrades in addition to these goodies, enabling customers to tailor their special pony car to their own specific needs and preferences. Each is backed by a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty as well, adding a little peace of mind that isn’t always present with aftermarket upgrades and turnkey builds, in general.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. That’s a good looking car!

  2. Two additional years of development, and 15 fewer peak HP….what’s wrong with this picture?
Also, is it possible to delete the rear wing? It looks like an afterthought. I suppose it looks a little better than the new Shelby with its “spoiler plus wing”.

    1. You don’t have much experience with tuning. I’ll bet the torque curves are better.

  3. This is pretty cool. Shelby didn’t get the adjustable suspenders or any suspension work for that matter but this one has it. Shelby is now riding in the coattails of the name.

    1. Shelby has become a nothingburger over the years. Steeda develops and makes most of their own parts. The Q850 and the new Shelby Mustang are worlds apart and it shows in weight and suspension.

  4. Hopefully the hp is enough to beat a 500 hp Porsche or BMW in Quarter mile.

    1. Why wouldn’t it be? This is a Mustang, not a Dodge.
