It wasn’t too terribly long ago that Lincoln planned on adding a bevy of all-electric models to its lineup, but those plans took an abrupt turn just last March, when President Dianne Craig revealed that the luxurious brand was no longer focused on EVs. Regardless, many consumers looking for a luxurious SUV will be cross-shopping traditional ICE models with EVs, and in that regard, the just-revealed 2026 BMW iX has received a price cut that places it in the same range as the Lincoln Nautilus, depending on trim.
The 2026 BMW iX has gotten significantly cheaper thanks to the introduction of a new base model to the EV SUV’s lineup – the xDrive45, which starts out at $76,325. That entry-level model also takes the place of the xDrive50 for the new model year, with the xDrive60 now sitting in the middle at $89,675, while the new M70 xDrive has become the new top trim with an MSRP of $112,675.
In terms of powertrains, the 2026 BMW iX xDrive45 generates 402 horsepower from its pair of electric motors (down from the xDrive50’s 516 horsepower), while the xDrive60 churns out 536 horsepower, and the the M70 has 650 horsepower on tap. Range has improved over the prior model, thanks to new silicon carbide semiconductors and larger batteries that start out with the xDrive45’s 100.1 kWh of usable capacity, while the xDrive60 gets 113.4 kWh, and the M70 has a 112.8 kWh unit – resulting in range estimates of 312, 340, and 302 miles, respectively.
On the outside, the 2026 BMW iX has received a few minor updates, while the previously-available M Sport package is lending a few of its unique touches to the rest of the lineup as well – a list that includes M-branded seats, an M leather steering wheel, M pedals, and a two-tone instrument panel. In terms of availability, the 2026 BMW iX lineup is currently slated to go on sale sometime in Q2 of 2025, according to the automaker.

Wow, they found a way to make it uglier. Bravo BMW, you have done something I didn’t think possible.
