2026 Ford Transit Debuts In Brazil With Plethora Of Updates

The global sales phenomenon that is the Ford Transit hasn’t received any sort of refresh or redesign in quite some time, but the full-size van continues to get a number of notable updates with each passing model year. That includes 2024, when the Transit was treated to a host of tech updates, and for the 2025 model year, consumers were able to choose from some new factory-integrated vocational upfit packages and interior accessory kits. Now, the 2026 Ford Transit has debuted in Brazil, and it is once again touting quite a few notable changes.

Those updates start on the outside, where the 2026 Ford Transit touts a new Blue Oval logo up front and Transit badging in the rear, and there are two new single-wheel versions to choose from as well – the cargo van and long glass, the latter of which can be used to transport up to 18 passengers, or even as a school bus with 29 seats. In total, customers can choose from 22 models in chassis, van, minibus, and all-electric E-Transit configuration totaling over 60 configurations.

Chassis cab and minibus models now come with power folding side mirrors, a reverse camera, front parking sensors, fog lights, tire pressure monitoring, electronic HVAC, and a perimeter alarm. Inside the cabin, all 2026 Ford Transit models now feature a new electronic architecture along with an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and 12-inch infotainment screen running SYNC 4, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In Brazil, ICE-powered 2026 Ford Transit models come equipped with the turbocharged 2.0L EcoBlue diesel, which generates 165 horsepower and can be mated to a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission. As far as pricing goes, Ford hasn’t released any details pertaining to the E-Transit, but the chassis cab starts out at R$282,900 ($49,607 USD), followed by the regular van versions at R$297,900 ($52,237 USD) and the Minibus with its MSRP of R$354,900 ($62,233 USD).

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
