Fully redesigned for the 2024 model year, the Lincoln Nautilus has since gone on to not only attract its fair share of consumers, but also, rack up plenty of accolades as well. The Nautilus competes in a heated space, however, as luxury crossover shoppers have plenty of models to choose from these days, and that includes the Volvo XC60. Now, after lulling on the market for a rather long time in its current generation, the refreshed 2026 Volvo XC60 has officially debuted as the latest updated Nautilus rival on the market.
The 2026 Volvo XC60 represents the latest refresh for a model that’s been on sale in its second-generation guise since 2017, and was latest updated in 2021. It doesn’t look a whole lot different than the outgoing model, however, sporting an updated front grille, darkened taillights, revised wheel designs, and some new paint colors – and that’s pretty much it. Inside the cabin, the refreshed crossover has been treated to new cupholders, an improved wireless phone charger, and new themes including Quilted Nordico and Navy Herringbone Weave.
Perhaps the most notable update present in the 2026 Volvo XC60 is the presence of a larger infotainment screen, which has increased from 9.0 inches in the outgoing model to 11.2 inches, and the automaker says that it’s considerably faster thanks to its use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Platform. In terms of powertrains, those remain unchanged, meaning that customers can choose from a 2.0L four-cylinder mild hybrid generating 247 horsepower in the B5, or the T8’s PHEV version of that same powertrain, generating 455 horsepower.
With Volvo recently opting to push back its plans to go fully-electric by 2030, hybrids and plug-in hybrids will remain a big part of its portfolio in the meantime. We recently saw this in action with the debut of the refreshed 2025.5 Volvo XC90, which can also be had with a hybrid or PHEV option.
