300 Ford SUVs Recalled Over Instrument Panel Display Failures

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2025 Ford Bronco Sport, Ford Escape, and Lincoln Corsair models over instrument panel display failures.

The defect: in affected vehicles, the instrument panel cluster may not illuminate at startup or while driving. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 101, “Control and Displays” and 102, “Transmission shift lever sequence, starter interlock, and transmission braking effect” as well as FMVSS numbers 126, 108, 135, 138, 208, and 305.

The hazards: an instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash.

  1. So far in 2025, Ford in number one in the Recall Sweepstakes thanks to Failure Farley.

  2. We are talking about 298 recalls for a panel cluster repair / replacement – not 100K engines from Toyota or 462K Kia Tellurides. So, ease up a bit.

    1. I don’t care how many Toyotas or Kias were recalled. I just know that I have to take off work, make arrangements for a ride from the dealer, wait a couple days for the call from the dealer that never comes, call the dealer, take off work again and figure out how to get to the dealer to pick up my vehicle. And since this is Ford, I will probably have to do it all over again when the next recall comes.

      1. Hey DRW…. I feel your PAIN…. I would recommend pushing for a Loaner Vehicle. Especially if you’re under the Factory Warranty??? And Even if you aren’t they Should Supply you with Transportation! As far as this “EASE UP A BIT” Goes???? I don’t think so! FORD Holds the Recall record and it Ain’t Slowing Down at all!!!! It’s Just a constant Quality Control Issue that has yet to be Addressed for YEARS…. My TRUCK Was at the Dealership for THREE WEEKS on a Tranny Failure, and 2 Recalls, One of which they have No resolution for to Date,(NO BIG DEAL THO), The Rear Wheel / Axel will just Self Destruct??? But…. They are working on it???? Comical at Best!!!

      2. Yes Ford is the recall king thanks to to worst engineering they could find.
And not to forget the use of the cheapest parts on the planet.
I have a 24 Bronco Badlands. It runs out of gas with 1/4 tank (2 bars) still showing on the gauge and the right rear wheel is tipped in at the top and towed in badly. Just waiting for a recall to take it in to get it fixed. I’m sure it will come before the tire is worn out.
