Ford Bronco sales increased in the United States but decreased in Mexico during the fourth quarter of 2024, while recording 20 deliveries in Argentina and 4 in Colombia.

In the United States, Ford Bronco deliveries totaled 32,224 units in Q4 2024, an increase of about 127 percent compared to 14,197 units sold in Q4 2023.

During the complete 2024 calendar year, Bronco sales increased about 3 percent to 109,172 units.

In South Korea, Ford Bronco deliveries totaled 0 units in Q4 2024.

During the complete 2024 calendar year, Bronco sales were flat at 0 units.

Ford Bronco Sales - Q4 2024 - Mexico

In Mexico, Ford Bronco deliveries totaled 237 units in Q4 2024, a decrease of about 20 percent compared to 297 units sold in Q4 2023.

During the complete 2024 calendar year, Bronco sales decreased about 21 percent to 1,159 units.

In Argentina, Ford Bronco deliveries totaled 20 units in Q4 2024.

Competitive Sales Comparison (USA)

Ford Bronco sales (see running Ford Bronco sales) grew 127 percent for 32,224 deliveries in Q4 2024, placing second to the Jeep Wrangler and ahead of the Toyota 4Runner.

The Jeep Wrangler maintained the lead with sales up 29 percent moving 38,085 units, while the Toyota 4Runner stay in third place with a 91 percent drop to 2,965 units as it navigates a generational switchover.

Sales Numbers - Midsize Off-Road SUVs - Q4 2024 - USA

In terms of segment share, the Ford Bronco earned a 44 percent share, while the Wrangler led with a 52 percent segment share, and the 4Runner posted a four percent share.

The midsize mainstream off-road SUV segment contracted five percent to 73,274 units in Q4 2024, meaning Ford Bronco sales significantly outperformed the segment average.

The Ford Authority Take

Not only was the jump in Ford Bronco sales during Q4 2024 very impressive, but it also narrowed the gap between it and its primary rival – the Jeep Wrangler. The Wrangler was also in the green, though the Jeep grew at a slower pace.

Looking ahead, Ford will trim Bronco production in 2025 amid waning demand, though we posit that a much-needed refresh could turn that around.

Meanwhile, the 2025 Toyota 4Runner debuted as all-new Ford Bronco rival early last year. Hence, the generational changeover is the reason that sales of the 4Runner were down 90 percent. We suspect that it will return to give the Bronco and Wrangler a run in the sales race once the generational switchover is complete.

About Ford Bronco

Riding on the body-on-frame Ford T6 platform, the Ford Bronco is available in two-door and four-door body styles. In addition, the SUV is available with two engine options. The first is the 2.3L I4 EcoBoost engine, rated at 275 horsepower and 315 pound-feet of torque. The second is the 2.7L V6 EcoBoost engine, good for 310 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the range-topping Bronco Raptor is powered exclusively by the 3.0L V6 EcoBoost engine, which outputs a healthy 418 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque.

The 2024 Ford Bronco enters with quite a few changes. Notably, its navigation system offers Connected Navigation with one year of service for certain models, and it no longer features the Trailer Tow Package as standard, although it can still be ordered as a standalone option. The High and Lux packages have been combined for customers looking to dress their Bronco with premium features, while the 12-inch touchscreen is now standard across the board. Meanwhile, Area 51 is no longer offered as an exterior color option, and the keyless entry keypad has also been dropped for the forthcoming model year. Some models have even been treated to an upgraded steering gear.
