The Ford Bronco has enjoyed quite a bit of success at various big-name off-road events since its rebirth in 2021, and that includes the notoriously-tough King of the Hammers race. In fact, the Ford Bronco swept the podium at the 2022 King of the Hammers event, then proceeded to repeat that feat in 2023 before winning big in 2024, too. Now that the dust has settled from the 2025 King of the Hammers race, The Blue Oval can once again revel in the fact that it took home the three top positions yet again.
This time around, the Ford Bronco racer swept the podium in the 4600 Stock Class of the Every Man Challenge at KoH, which is the third time Ford Performance has achieved that feat, as well as the fourth straight year that it has secured the top spot in that series. This year, Ultra4 Hall of Famer Brad Lovell was in first place when the checkered flag fell, while defending champ Bailey Cole finished second and John Williams III came in third. It’s a notable feat for Ford Performance in general, which is fresh off securing a stage win at the 2025 Dakar Rally and a class victory at the 2025 Rolex 24.
Lovell’s win was one that’s been a long time in the making after the off-road racing legend has set the fastest qualifying time at KoH for four years, but fell just a bit short in each race until 2025. With his son Adam acting as co-driver, Lovell also secured a win in the Desert Stock OEM class during the Desert Challenge in his Ford Bronco Raptor. “This one means everything,” Lovell said of his achievement. “After years of coming so close, years of number one qualifiers, to finally stand on the top step is surreal. Ford Performance has put their heart and soul into the 4600 program, and built a platform that thrives in the roughest conditions. Today we proved why Bronco continues to be out here at King of the Hammers.”
“This win is huge for us,” said Mark Rushbrook, Global Director, Ford Performance. “King of the Hammers is one of the toughest races out there – it pushes everything and everyone to their absolute limits. Every year, we come here knowing we’ll learn something new, and every year, we make Bronco even better because of it. This race is as real as it gets, and today, Bronco showed exactly why it’s built to take on the toughest conditions and come out on top. That’s what ‘Built Wild’ is all about.”
