The Ford Maverick has been a smash hit since it debuted for the 2022 model year, both with consumers and critics alike. In fact, we’ve watched as the Maverick has racked up countless accolades over its few years in existence, and that list continues to grow with the passage of time as well. Consumer Reports has handed out its fair share of awards to the Ford Maverick over that time frame, and the compact pickup has landed on plenty of “best of” lists from the consumer organization as well. Now, that list has expanded yet again.
The Ford Maverick has now been named as Consumer Reports’ most satisfying hybrid pickup in its latest list of the most-loved automotive models on the market, which is based on the results of the organization’s owner surveys. Coming up with this particular list is a rather simple process – Consumer Reports takes a look at its annual auto surveys, or more specifically, a single question that it asks its members – would they buy the same vehicle again if given the chance? The percentage of people that say “yes” is equal to that model’s owner satisfaction score, and each vehicle’s ranking is based on that particular number.
The Ford Maverick topped the hybrid pickup space in that regard this time around, and was joined by the Ford Bronco, which was named as the most satisfying mid-size two-row SUV, as well as the Lincoln Nautilus and its ranking as the top luxury mid-size SUV – results based on 300,000 owner surveys. As CR points out, models that achieve these honors are typically the ones that offer up more than just a regular sort of automotive experience – rather, they have plenty of performance, capability, luxurious features, standout efficiency, or any combination of those qualities.
The Ford Maverick is no stranger to this list, historically speaking, either. In fact, the Maverick Hybrid was among Consumer Reports‘ top 10 most satisfying vehicles back in 2022, as well as in 2023 and 2024.

How come you don’t have the new ugly maverick picture?
I have a poster size picture on my wall. I love it.
Thrifty got to be kidding the base with tax is almost 30k for a cheapy little truck
I got mine when the getting was good 2022
“Cheapy” compared to what, exactly? Adjust that for inflation and then compare statistics with similarly sized trucks from years gone by. All things considered, it’s a good deal. CAFE standards have neutered the ability of manufacturers to give the people an even better deal, but they’re doing the best they can.
