Last September, The Blue Oval debuted what it calls Ford Power Promise – a program that offers retail customers that purchase or lease a Ford Mustang Mach-E, Ford F-150 Lightning, or E-Transit a free home charger when they take delivery of those vehicles, plus free standard installation. The concept of the program is to make it easier for Ford EV buyers to set up home charging without having to figure out which charger is best for their application or having to search for a reputable installer, and they’re obviously saving money as well. Now, the Ford Power Promise program has expanded to another country, too.
That country is Canada, where retail customers that buy or lease an eligible Ford Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, or E-Transit can get a complimentary home charger and standard installation at their home between now and March 31st, 2025. Quebec residents don’t qualify for the program, however, but they do have the option to purchase a discounted home charger and standard installation bundle for $2,450 plus tax, a package that carries an estimated retail value of $3,600. As for who will perform the installations in Canada, the official Ford Power Promise partner in the Canadian market is RocketEV Charging Solutions Inc.
“We want customers across Canada to feel confident they can choose the Ford vehicle they want to drive and the powertrain that’s right for them,” said Bev Goodman, president and CEO, Ford Canada. “The convenience of home charging helps make this possible, and we’re proud that Ford is leading the way.”
Previously, the Ford Power Promise program was set to expire on January 2nd, 2025 in the U.S., but as Ford Authority recently reported, the automaker opted to extend it through March 31st, 2025 after coming off a record year for EV sales in 2024, giving those that purchase or lease a Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, and E-Transit Cargo Van a complimentary home charger and standard installation at their home for free. Customers also get 24/7 support via a team of dedicated Ford advisors in the event that they need assistance with things such as charging, and the automaker is providing free roadside assistance, too.
