Ford Pro Software Gets Prestigious Data Security Certification

Ford Pro is the automaker’s dedicated commercial vehicle entity, but a large portion of its business doesn’t come from selling vehicles themselves. Rather, Ford Pro combines software, charging, service, and financing for commercial vehicles into one comprehensive platform, which aims to increase uptime and lower operating costs for fleet owners. Since it launched a few years ago, that package of goods has proven to be quite popular, and now, Ford Pro software has earned a rather prestigious certification as well.

Ford Pro Software Solutions has now been bestowed with the top data security certification available, in fact – ISO 27001 – a globally recognized standard for information security management. This particular certification places an emphasis on software that maintains the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer data, which should give the entity’s fleet customers some extra peace of mind. At the moment, Ford Pro Intelligence monitors and analyzes more than one billion connected vehicle data points each day, too.

“Ever since we introduced Ford Pro as a business, we’ve built robust security measures into our software solutions to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access and misuse,” said Jeremy Gould, director, Ford Pro Intelligence, Europe. “Data security isn’t just a feature at Ford Pro; it’s a foundational principle. This commitment to security is validated by our ISO 27001 certification for our software solutions, Ford Pro Telematics, Telematics Essentials, and E-Telematics. This stamp of approval demonstrates our unwavering dedication to responsible data handling.”

“We’re continually searching for ways to improve our fleet management software and services. Advancements in machine learning, predictive analytics, generative AI, real-time data availability, and evolving connectivity technologies will further enhance the capabilities of Ford Pro Intelligence. These tools will enable us to better serve our customers and help them overcome their business challenges. Data security will remain at the heart of our connected vehicle offerings however they evolve.”

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. Must be a different team than the one who does sync. Sync 3 has been around for a lot of year and Ford doesn’t seem able to fix the problems
