Ford’s South American business has been burgeoning in a big way over the past few years, all as the automaker has vastly expanded its lineup in that part of the world. Along with an ever-growing passenger vehicle lineup, the Ford Pro commercial business has quickly caught on with fleets in South America, and Ford Performance just celebrated its own arrival in the region as well. Now, the Ford Tremor line of pickups is slated to join the Blue Oval’s Brazilian lineup as well.
The automaker didn’t reveal which Ford Tremor pickups will be sold in Brazil, but it’s fair to assume that it will include the Ford Maverick, Ford Ranger, and Ford F-150 Tremor models, as that trio is already on sale in that country in non-Tremor guise. Regardless, it only builds upon what has quickly become a lineup full of off-road-focused products, which are quickly gaining in popularity. “The Tremor concept emerged from market observation,” said Dennis Rossini, Ford Brazil Marketing Manager. We saw that many consumers like to make changes to pickup trucks to increase off-road capacity and we felt that there was good potential to offer this from the factory, with a more functional and robust solution.”
Just over a year after Ford Pro launched in Brazil, Ford Performance also arrived in that same region this past August, with an array of new models joining the Ford Ranger Raptor in that market. That list includes the Ford F-150 Raptor in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Peru, as well as the Ford Explorer ST in Chile, Colombia, and Peru. These models join the Ford Mustang GT Performance and the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance, which are already on sale in South America as well.
Ford Performance will also offer unique experiences for South American customers in the future, including track day events both on- and off-road, licensed products available to purchase, and an ever-expanding participation in motorsports across the globe. Aside from those types of performance-focused models, the revised 2026 Ford Transit just debuted for commercial customers in Brazil earlier this month, bearing a host of updates.
