It had been quite a while – years, in fact – since we last saw famous actor Matthew McConaughey star in a Lincoln ad, which is a shame given how well-received and critically-acclaimed those spots were. However, McConaughey resurfaced in a brand new Lincoln ad called “The Road Ahead” last June, with also starred his son, Levi, as both rode around in the new 2024 Lincoln Nautilus. The concept behind that particular ad was to highlight the fact that this famous actor still finds the act of driving to be fun and beneficial in many ways, and now, McConaughey is back with another new advertisement, this time, starring the refreshed 2025 Lincoln Aviator.
In this newly released commercial called “Road Rhythms,” we’re invited to “take a moment with Matthew for a journey down an open road to a highway that leads to just where you need to be.” The short clip shows the famous actor cruising along in the Lincoln Aviator before he pulls up to an old barn on a dirt road, humming along as he rolls in. There, McConaughey reminisces about things like old tractors, trains, and just takes some time to enjoy, well, the moment.
The refreshed 2025 Lincoln Aviator debuted just over a year ago, after which the first examples of the revised luxurious crossover began arriving at dealers this past August. On the outside, the 2025 Lincoln Aviator has been treated to a few updates including a revised front and rear fascia with an updated contoured mesh grille that’s also been raised a bit, coupled with new LED headlamps and running lamps that span the width of the front end – perfect for showing off a series of welcome animations when a user approaches the vehicle and/or turns it off.
Inside the cabin, the 2025 Lincoln Aviator also gets the automaker’s new infotainment software – in this case, known as the Lincoln Digital Experience – which adds a host of built-in apps from Google and other third-party companies. There’s also a new, larger 13.2-inch infotainment screen present inside, coupled with a new 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster to boot.

Talk about a cost savings opportunity, ZERO additional Lincoln’s sold thanks to ‘Matthew’.
Agree.
IMHO, “Identity through association” is a pretty lazy way to sell cars.
Lincoln needs to can him. I’ve not seen one ad with him in it that was interesting or inspiring to buy a Lincoln.
