The 1932 Ford is one of the most iconic vehicles ever conceived, and single-handedly helped the hot rod/street rod movement become a phenomenon for decades. That hasn’t changed in today’s world, as the 1932 Ford – in both coupe and roaster form – remains an incredibly beloved entity, whether that be in bone stock form or in any number of creative, modified examples that have been created by various folks over the years. Now, this very interesting 1932 Ford coupe with modern-day EcoBoost power is up for auction as yet another example of that enduring phenomenon.
This 1932 Ford coupe is currently being auctioned off at Bring a Trailer after it was built by Tucci Hot Rods in partnership with HP Tuners for the 2019 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. After that appearance, the Deuce wound up a giveaway car at the 2019 Syracuse Nationals in New York, landing in North Carolina for a while before the selling dealer acquired it. Now, this 1932 Ford is up for grabs with some unique mods, starting on the outside with fiberglass bodywork sporting white paint and black vinyl decals, plus 18-inch Rotiform wheels.
Underneath, this 1932 Ford is equipped with a custom-fabricated Scott’s Hotrods steel frame, a cantilever front suspension, a triangulated four-link rear setup with adjustable coilovers, and Wilwood six-piston front/four-piston rear calipers with 14-inch rotors. Power comes from a unique place, too – Ford’s 3.5L V6 EcoBoost, which has been fitted with dual BorgWarner turbochargers and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
This certainly isn’t the first interesting or notable 1932 Ford we’ve seen hit the auction block lately, even if it might be the most unique. Rather, the famous 1932 Ford Tommy Foster Roadster that has won countless awards over the years popped up for sale last November, and another ’32 Ford owned by legendary boxer George Foreman was also auctioned off last year, too.
