1995 Ford Probe GT 5-Speed With 45K Miles Up For Auction

Unconventional nameplate aside, the Ford Probe has become something of a cult classic since its discontinuation after the 1997 model year. A couple examples of the sporty coupe crossed the digital auction block recently, including a 1993 Probe that was hardly broken in and another 1994 Probe GT showing fewer than 30,000 miles on the odometer. Enthusiasts now have the chance to bid on another well-cared for example: a 1995 Ford Probe GT is currently searching for its next owner.

This 1995 Ford Probe GT, offered up on Bring a Trailer, was primarily kept in storage for 10 years prior to the seller’s acquisition of the vehicle in late 2022. The coupe is finished in black with “GT” graphics on the doors, and features a rear window wiper, pop-up headlights, fog lights, and mudflaps featuring Probe branding. The windows have been treated with ceramic tinted film, while the paint is protected by a ceramic coating.

A set of 16-inch chrome wheels rest in all four corners, wrapped in 225/50 Goodyear Eagle VR50 tires. The suspension features sport-tuned stabilizer bars and MacPherson struts, while four-wheel disc brakes provide stopping power.

The blacked-out exterior is complemented with a black interior, featuring front bucket seats and a rear split-folding bench. Amenities include air conditioning, a leather-wrapped shift knob, power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity.

Power is provided by the 2.5L V6 engine under the hood, factory rated at 164 horsepower and 160 pound-feet of torque. Power is relayed to the front two wheels (FWD) via the five speed manual transmission. Reported services include all fluids changed in 2023, a replaced CV axle seal in 2024, along with front brake pad replacement and brake rotor machining in 2023. The seller states that they have a soft spot for this 1995 Ford Probe GT, saying that passersby often comment on its name or mistake it for a Japanese market vehicle. The auction is currently open until March 11th.

  1. I remember wanting one of these. Looking at this, it’s actually still somewhat appealing.

  2. I have owned 2 Probes in my life. The 1st I only had it 5 months and it got totalled when a van made a lefthand turn right in front of me. Valve cover was sitting on the firewall 😔. My 2nd was my favorite. It was a GT and was very fun to drive. Unfortunately we were evicted from the house we had rented for 7yrs in 2023. My car was parked in an industrial park outside of a friend’s business and on my birthday someone decided to help themselves to my catalytic converter. Which not having a place to safely store it until we could fix it I had to sell it. 😢 I miss that car.

  3. It’s so hard to leave a comment on this website. Several times I got knocked out because of the pop ups.
