2003 Ford Crown Victoria With 8K Miles Heading To Auction

The Ford Crown Victoria and its Panther platform counterparts were among the very last large, V8-powered, rear-wheel drive American sedans on the market, models that have since gone the way of the dinosaur, sadly enough. However, those that still love that kind of vehicle have plenty of nice examples to choose from on the collector car circuit, at least, and we’ve seen quite a few pop up for sale in recent months. Now, this 2003 Ford Crown Victoria joins that group, as it’s currently up for auction with just 8k miles showing on the odometer.

This 2003 Ford Crown Victoria is set to be sold at Mecum’s upcoming Glendale, Arizona auction, which is slated to kick off later this week. It’ll certainly be one of the nicest – if not the nicest – Crown Vic that crosses the block at that event, given the fact that it has just 8,424 miles on the clock, along with stellar Spruce Green Metallic paint that doesn’t seem to have any flaws worth noting. Otherwise, this Crown Victoria is pretty standard in terms of equipment, with just one option showing on its window sticker – remote keyless entry, which accounts for $240 of its $24,935 MSRP.

Regardless, this Ford Crown Victoria does come with plenty of standard features such as power windows, power mirrors, power seats, a door-mounted keypad, air conditioning, and power brakes. It’s powered by the naturally-aspirated Ford 4.6L V8, which is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and drives the rear wheels only. The super clean sedan comes with two keys, along with all of the original manufacturer literature – including the aforementioned window sticker.

Of course, this is just the latest of many nice, low-mile Ford Crown Victoria models we come across quite often at collector car auctions. A 2004 model popped up for sale in early February with just 10k miles on the clock, in fact.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. We had a crown Vic in our department that had over 200,000 miles on the the clock. The drivers seat was scooped out like grandpa’s chair. I think it was retired due to fuel efficiency.

  2. I have a 1994 Crown Vic LX with 118,000 miles on it. Looks like it just came out of the showroom. Except for normal maintenance items (fluids, brake pads, etc), it is factory original.
It has the digital instrument panel instead of the analog one. Color is Opal Frost Metallic with a blue leather interior.
