The Ford F-150 has long been one of the top-selling vehicles on earth, and is a common sight on the roads as a result. That popularity has also made earlier F-150 models quite collectible and valuable over the years, too, a phenomenon that seems to be creeping up into more recent generations as of late. That includes models produced and sold in the 2000s and even 2010s, as we’ve seen quite a few pop up at collector car auctions as of late – a list that now includes this bare bones yet rather nice 2005 Ford F-150 XL.

This 2005 Ford F-150 XL is set to be sold at Mecum’s upcoming Glendale, Arizona auction, which kicks off later this week. It’s part of a rather large group of vehicles coming from The Schroder Family Collection, though it’s certainly one of the more unique offerings in that lot, given the fact that it’s basically just a well-kept work truck and not some pricey or rare sports car or exotic. However, this F-150 does have a relatively low 65,874 miles on the clock, at least.

There are also a few amenities present on this entry-level XL-trimmed pickup, including power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, an AM/FM stereo with a CD player, a tilt steering column, cruise control, and power windows. The regular cab pickup looks to be in good shape on the outside, with nice red paint and alloy wheels, too. It’s powered by the naturally-aspirated Ford 4.2L V6 engine, which is mated to an automatic gearbox, and Mecum estimates that it’ll rake in around $10k-$15k at auction – a smaller sum, indeed.

This is the second nice, lower-mile 2005 Ford F-150 XL pickup we’ve seen hit the auction block as of late, however. The last came just a couple of weeks ago in the form of a white model with just 13k miles on the clock, and it was even cleaner than this one, impressively.
