2023 Ford Bronco King Of The Hammers Edition Heading To Auction

Following its return for a sixth-generation in the 2021 model year, the Ford Bronco proceeded to embark on its fair share of off-road racing endeavors, too. That includes the King of the Hammers, a notoriously difficult race that the Ford Bronco has conquered on multiple occasions to date – sweeping the podium in 2022, repeating that feat in 2023, securing a win in 2024, and once again claiming the top three spots this year. Now, this 2023 Ford Bronco King of the Hammers Edition model is heading to auction as a pretty cool tribute to those motorsports achievements.

This 2023 Ford Bronco King of the Hammers Edition model is set to be auctioned off at Mecum’s Houston sale in April, and it has just 299 miles on the clock. It was designed by Fox Factory in Trussville, Alabama, and three-time King of the Hammers winner, Jason Scherer, and features a host of upgrades compared to a stock Bronco. On the outside, those include powder-coated front and rear bumpers, LED fog lights, a tire carrier, KOH branded rock sliders, carbon fiber fender flares, Nacho TM5 lighting, rock lights, and KOH graphics and badging.

Underneath, the Ford Bronco KOH Edition features  a full Metalcloak Undercloak skid plate system, plus Fox 2.5 Performance Elite shocks with a unique tune, and BDS four-inch coilovers. In this case, those help make room for a set of 18-inch Satin Gray Black Ring Vision Ojo wheels wrapped with 37×12.5-inch BF Goodrich KM3 tires – and there’s also an ARB air compressor setup on board to help reinflate those tires out on the trail.

Inside, this Hot Pepper Red two-door Ford Bronco features KOH branded seat covers, a dash badge, and a tool kit, helping to further distinguish it from a stock SUV. Power comes from the twin turbocharged 2.7L V6 EcoBoost engine, mated to the 10-speed automatic transmission. If nothing else, it’s a pretty cool and unique Ford Bronco that has some real, functional off-road upgrades, making it a nice target for someone in the market for something a bit different.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
