2025 Ford Bronco Sport Ditches Fender Flare Kit II

The refreshed 2025 Ford Bronco Sport debuted back in late August 2024, delivering a host of updates to the rugged off-road crossover. Changes on deck include the deletion of three colors to make room for one more, the addition of a 13.2-inch center infotainment touchscreen running Sync 4, a retouched face, and more. One of those changes involves the Fender Flare Kit II, which has been stricken from the crossover’s order books for the 2025 model year.

Fender Flare Kit II, as the name implies, was one of two fender flare bundles offered on the Ford Bronco Sport prior to the 2025 model year. It was a $1,160 extra offered on every Bronco Sport trim, and included pocket-style fender flares with rivets that added a tough, off-road-ready appearance to the crossover when equipped.

Said fender flares were a dealer-installed option that were shipped separately from the crossover in an unassembled state, but were ready to be painted to match the body color of the Bronco Sport in question. They weren’t offered in conjunction with the front or rear mudflap option, however.

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport does still offer the Fender Flare Kit, which was formerly referred to as Fender Flare Kit I on prior model years. This kit is similar to the deleted Fender Flare Kit II, featuring pocket-style fender flares with rivets. However, these flares are shipped as preassembled units, and cannot be painted; rather, they are made of black plastic.

This kit can be acquired as a standalone $580 option offered on all Bronco Sport trims, but it’s also bundled into the Convenience Package, which is offered on Big Bend, Heritage, and Free Wheeling trims for $1,395.

Assembly of the 2025 Ford Bronco is handled at the Hermosillo Assembly plant in Mexico, where production began on November 11th, 2024. The crossover began landing at dealers in early 2025. The 2025 Bronco Sport is slightly pricier than its outgoing 2024 model year counterpart, starting at $29,990 for the base Big Bend trim, not including destination freight charges.
