2025 Ford Escape PHEV Gets Big Rebate For Select Markets

The Blue Oval doesn’t have too many plug-in hybrids in its North American lineup, which is a stark contrast to its European counterpart. However, those that appreciate the benefit of being able to plug in their vehicle and enjoy a short amount of all-electric driving range coupled with the convenience of a gas engine can still purchase a Ford Escape PHEV, at least. The biggest downside is the fact that the 2025 Ford Escape PHEV can be rather pricey when compared to the rest of the lineup, but now, a new rebate helps make it a much more approachable option.

According to a dealer bulletin recently seen by CarsDirect, select markets are getting some big rebates on 2025 Ford Escape PHEV models, which do vary based on geographical location, anyway. In California, those rebates grew from a previous amount of $5,000 all the way up to $9,000, and in Chicago, shoppers can score a $4,000 rebate, compared to nothing, previously. Aside from those markets, those in Atlanta, Dallas, Orlando, Houston, Phoenix, and the state of Washington can get $5,000 rebates on the 2025 Ford Escape PHEV, up from $1,000.

These new, larger rebates could make the 2025 Ford Escape PHEV a more compelling option versus the regular hybrid model, which starts out at $33,985, compared to the plug-in at $39,895 – especially in California, where the PHEV is actually $3,090 cheaper with the rebate included, and just $2,000 more than the base Escape. It’s also good news for shoppers after the Escape PHEV lost its federal clean energy tax credit eligibility at the start of this year.

The 2025 Ford Escape PHEV has also earned some critical acclaim as of late, landing on Consumer Reports‘ list of the best plug-in hybrids one can buy this year. The Escape PHEV made the cut with its overall score of 73 out of 100 possible points, and also received an above average road test score, along with average predicted reliability and owner satisfaction scores.

  1. What I want to know is what is Ford’s up to date plan for the Escape after Model Year ’25? (Not something that was supposed a year ago).

  2. To bad the Escape is going away after the 2025 model year. With no new model planned it makes no sense to think everyone will go to a Bronco Sport, which is smaller or a Maverick.
