The 2025 Ford Expedition revamps the full-size SUV with overhauled styling inside and out. As is often the case with the turn of a new generation, the 2025 Expedition is a bit pricier than the 2024 model it replaced, surpassing the $90,000 mark when fully kitted out. For buyers who find that price daunting, the Expedition Active trim represents a more accessible option in the lineup, delivering capable performance at a relatively affordable cost. Below, Ford Authority breaks down the features of the Expedition Active, including its available package.
The 2025 Expedition Active – which starts at $63,995, including destination freight charges (DFC) – offers the Ford Connectivity Package, which is standard across the entire trim level lineup. Benefits included in this package include unlimited 5G hotspot capability, karaoke and games, audio and video streaming, plus cellular connectivity for the Ford Digital Experience.
The Connectivity Package subscription is complimentary for one year after the vehicle’s purchase, but owners who wish for a longer duration can opt to pay a one-time $745 fee when ordering the SUV. This will remain active for a minimum of seven years on the vehicle, and it is nontransferable to a different VIN. No additional subscription purchase will be required after that seven-year period to maintain connectivity if the service is available.
The 2025 Ford Expedition Active is also offered with an optional upgrade, known as the Active Touring Edition equipment group. Priced at $4,215, this package bundles features like Ford Co-Pilot Active 2.0, the Panoramic Vista roof, ActiveX seating surfaces, heated steering wheel, power sideview mirrors, heated seats, a wireless smartphone charging pad, flex powered console, and more tech features. In all, the Expedition Active Touring is a capable but affordable version of the full-size SUV without being too cost prohibitive.
Production of the overhauled SUV began at the Kentucky Truck plant on January 6th, 2025, as previously reported by Ford Authority.
