2025 Ford F-150 Lightning Retains 2024 Lineup’s Pricing

After a prolonged wait, details pertaining to the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning were just unveiled earlier today, and as it turns out, there are several notable updates present for the new model year. Production of the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning actually began at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center back in January after it was delayed several weeks due to slowing demand for that model, but now, things are well underway. As it turns out, even though the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning received some updates and improvements for the new year, it won’t be getting a price increase, however.

2025 Ford F-150 Lightning – March 2025 MSRP 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning – March 2025 MSRP + / – 2024 Prices
XLT $62,995 $62,995 $0
Flash $67,995 $67,995 $0
Lariat $76,995 $76,995 $0
Platinum $84,995 $84,995 $0
Destination $2,195 $2,095 +$100

2025 Ford F-150 Lightning pricing has indeed held the line, with not a single price increase for any trim in the lineup. It is worth noting that destination charges have gone by up $100 to $2,195, however, and leftover 2024 models should be getting robust incentives, to boot. However, in a world where new vehicle prices have seemingly increased with each passing model year – and sometimes, multiple times throughout – this is welcome news for prospective customers.

Meanwhile, the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning is getting a handful of updates, including the new Dark Elements appearance package, which is available on the Platinum trim. It adds 22-inch black-painted wheels, black Ford ovals and badging, and a black interior. The pickup is also getting BlueCruise 1.4, which is designed to provide a smoother, more natural hands-free highway driving experience, and maximum DC fast charging current has improved from 450 amps to 500 amps.

2025 Ford F-150 Lightning customers can now access real-time charging information in the vehicle (including current charging speed), set a universal charge limit for all locations instead of only for an individual charger, and schedule preferred charge times at specific locations. North American Charging Standard (NACS) fast charging stations have now been integrated into Apple CarPlay, and customers can purchase an adapter that enables them to use those types of chargers.

The 2025 F-150 Lightning is one of several Blue Oval models to ditch its factory SecuriCode keyless entry keypad in favor of a dealer-installed part, and it’s also losing the previously-standard eLocking rear axle, as the automaker has opted to include the E-Locker (as it’s otherwise known) as part of the optional Max Trailer Tow Package. Meanwhile, the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning has deleted the Interior Work Surface feature for the XLT and Flash trims, though it’s still standard on the Lariat and Platinum. The Flash is gaining standard ActiveX seating instead of cloth, while the EV pickup has gained an optional spare tire.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. What they needed to do is improve the range and charge speed but nothing.

  2. Price is the same but lots of decontenting going on. Sounds like a back-door price increase to me.

  3. Where is the native NACS port that Ford said was going to going into their 2025 EV models?

They were the first to sign with Tesla to use their superchagers, but yet they will probably be the last to have the native NACS port in their vehicles. Why can’t they add this, as they didn’t make any significant changes to the truck? This would have sparked more interest in the vehicle, instead of having to use the adaptor.

Also, they should change the location of charge port also, to be in the rear of the vehicle, instead of the front.

But Ford will continue to make the least amount of changes every year and say they are big.
