2025 Ford Maverick Tremor Drains Wallets Faster Than The 2024

The 2025 Ford Maverick Tremor is stacked with plenty of off-road-ready features, turning the affordable compact pickup into a competent off-road beast straight off the showroom floor. However, all of those goodies do come at a cost, putting the Maverick Tremor on the more expensive end of the Maverick spectrum – especially when compared to its 2024 model year counterpart.

Now, it’s important to note that the 2025 Ford Maverick Tremor is its own trim rather than an optional package, which was offered for the 2024 model year. The Tremor Off-Road Package was offered on the 2024 Maverick XLT and Lariat trims, bumping the starting price of the XLT to $34,380 including destination freight charges (DFC). The Lariat, when fitted with the Tremor Off-Road Package, cost $39,050 including DFC – pricey for a Maverick, but still on the more affordable side of the off-road pickup scene.

By contrast, the 2025 Ford Maverick Tremor starts at $41,945 including DFC. That price makes it significantly more expensive than the 2024 Maverick XLT with the Tremor Off-Road Package, potentially putting it out of reach of some buyers. It’s also worth noting that the features included on the 2025 Maverick Tremor are comparable to those included in the Tremor Off-Road Package offered for 2024, save for some tech upgrades that debuted with the refreshed 2025 model, including the addition of Sync 4 and its digital instrument cluster.

The 2025 Ford Maverick Tremor isn’t the only pickup in the model line that’s pricier than its 2024 equivalent. In fact, the Maverick range as a whole got a price bump when the refreshed model debuted, and increased even more a few months later. The most affordable trim in the lineup remains the base XL, which starts at $26,995 not including DFC.

As such, it may be difficult to find a 2025 Ford Maverick with a price tag of less than $30,000, which is notable considering that it’s marketed as one of The Blue Oval’s more affordable models alongside the Ford Bronco Sport.

  1. Great example of Ford’s idiotic tiny niche-building that Jimmy and Billy love so much and is a total and complete waste of time.

  2. They separated it out so they could charge more, perfect example of greed. How can we take something that was affordable and make it more expensive and harder for customers to get. I KNOW, let’s charge more!

  3. Amazing how fast those prices went up.

  4. Optioning up a low priced vehicle quickly becomes a questionable buying decision when compared to what you’re getting from other models, sometimes even from the same manufacturer.
When looking only at the Ford lot, at what point do you just get an F-150, to say nothing of a Ranger?

    1. The tremor *was* a rare upgrade for functionality rather than comfort, but now they’ve shoehorned it into being a luxury package.

  5. Ford did a good job of making sure I won’t buy one at all

  6. Ford is taking a perfectly good maverick when it started in 2022 and price it out of the boxes of people who want a lower price small truck.

  8. The front end looks cheap. But the price tag is expensive! No deal !

  9. I ordered a 23 Mav Tremor. It was $31k. The fact that the exact same vehicles price raised by over 10 thousand bucks in 2 years is pure insanity. There is no Maverick worth 40+ grand.

  10. I love the front end, I hope the new F-150 follows that styling!

  11. With these prices Ford will probably debut a new affordable pickup, and when that becomes popular raise that price as well to unaffordability, and so on…
