It’s been a while since we last saw the internet-famous 2011 Ford Fiesta that some seemingly mad person decided to chop and shorten, a creation that doesn’t even seem real in photos, and yet, it very much is. The chopped Ford Fiesta surfaced for sale back in 2023, however, and it apparently ran and drove just fine, with a mere 59k miles on the clock – though we imagine it would be slightly terrifying to use as a highway commuter, anyway. Regardless, fans of this very much shortened Fiesta will be happy to know that it’s also still alive and doing well.
We know this because someone spotted the 2011 Ford Fiesta – otherwise known as “Carleigh” – out in the wild recently, and posted these photos of it on Reddit. It certainly doesn’t look any worse for wear after its surgical procedure, which took place roughly 13 years ago. The mad person that opted to conduct this chop job apparently wanted something that could be easily towed behind an RV, so they proceeded to remove three feet from its mid-section, resulting in a Fiesta that’s only 10 feet long.
Despite that, the previous seller did claim that this shortened Fiesta was perfect as an around-town driver, and it even apparently gets 32 mpg in that type of situation, which is understandable given all the weight that’s been removed from the small hatchback. It might also be fun to drive, thanks to its 1.6L I-4 generating 120 horsepower and 112 pound-feet of torque, mated to a manual transmission.
The last time we saw the custom Ford Fiesta, it was being sold with a salvage title, and it didn’t have functioning ABS, airbags, or traction control at that time, which doesn’t help calm any fears that one might have of driving it on the highway – or perhaps even around town. However, if nothing else, it’s nice to see that this incredibly odd creation is still around and kicking.
