Ford Bronco Concepts Among U.S. Heritage Fleet Members

Earlier this month, Ford revealed its new U.S.-based Heritage Fleet, which is a special display with around 50 vehicles located at its Dearborn-based headquarters that employees of The Blue Oval can check out. Ultimately, it wound up amassing a rather impressive array of models from Blue Oval history, including a 1914 Model T replica built for Ford’s 100th anniversary, the Ford F-150 Atlas concept, the Ford Mustang that was placed atop the Empire State Building years ago, and some Ford Bronco concepts, among others. Now, we’re getting a look at some of those concepts.

In this recent post on Reddit, we get a first-person view at some of the cool and unique rides present in the Ford Heritage Fleet, including some Ford GTs of various generations, a first-generation Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, a Shelby GT500, a handful of one-off concepts, and perhaps more interestingly, a couple of Ford Bronco concepts that we’ve seen in various places over the years.

The yellow two-door Ford Bronco present in the new Heritage Collection is actually a design study that Ford Authority checked out up close at the Petersen Automotive Museum in early 2023, but now, it’s seemingly back in the possession of The Blue Oval. This particular model is equipped with some few features that aren’t present on production models, including its Method wheels, and BFGoodrich KM3 mud-terrain tires, to name just a few. Inside the cabin, this 2021 Ford Bronco design study features a two-tone brown and black interior with Cyber Orange accents to match the exterior paint color, which also adorns the front grille’s “Bronco” lettering and tow hooks.

Additionally, the famous 2004 Ford Bronco concept is on display in the Heritage Collection as well, which starred in the movie Rampage years ago. This concept was powered by a 2.0L intercooled turbo-diesel engine, which was mated to the automaker’s six-speed dual-clutch PowerShift transmission, and even featured a shot of nitrous and an intelligent four-wheel drive system.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. Wow! That 2004 Bronco concept looks even better than the current one, which I do like.
