Ford EV Campaign Launched In France, With Trip To American West As Grand Prize

Ford just fulfilled its promise to add seven new all-electric vehicles to its European lineup that it made back in 2022, now that the E-Tourneo Courier, E‑Transit Courier, and Puma Gen-E entered full-scale production at the joint-venture Ford Otosan Craiova Assembly plant in Romania. Those models join a full lineup of electrified Ford Transit models including the recently-updated E-Transit, the E-Transit Custom, and the Ford Mustang Mach-E, plus the Explorer and Capri EVs. Now, Ford has launched a new campaign in France, specifically, to conjure up interest in these EVs.

That new campaign is called “Les Essais 100% Électrique,” and is designed to get the public behind the wheel of an EV to experience what it’s like. It runs through June 30th, 2025, and offers anyone who test drives a Ford EV the opportunity to win one of five trips for two people to the American West. The trips – which are valued at 9,790 euros ($10,567 USD) – take place over 11 days and nine nights, starting in Las Vegas, Nevada, and ending in Phoenix, Arizona.

To participate in this contest, French customers must first book a test drive for a Ford EV model online, and then complete that test drive – and that’s it. After completing these tasks, customers will automatically be entered to win the aforementioned trip. Ford plans to promote the contest in a number of ways, whether that be via 30-second TV ads, radio spots, and social media posts, to name just a few.

“Driving a 100 percent electric Ford is a guaranteed smile on every trip,” said Louis-Carl Vignon, President of Ford France. “It is the perfect combination of performance, comfort and respect for the environment. This contest is a unique way to share our passion for electric, and to give our customers the chance to live an unforgettable adventure.”

As Ford Authority recently reported, FoMoCo CEO Jim Farley intends to double the company’s EV production this year, largely based on this growth in Europe, but despite slow demand for the Explorer and Capri EV. Regardless, Ford continues to face an uphill battle in Europe amid slow sales for its passenger vehicles and EVs in general. The automaker has called on the European Union and UK officials to introduce robust incentives for EVs on multiple occasions as of late, and for now at least, it plans to focus more on its successful Ford Pro commercial business amid weak retail sales.
