Ford F-150 Driver Gets Instant Karma For Shoulder Stunt: Video

Sitting in traffic can be insanely frustrating, especially when the shoulder is clear and right there. Most of the time, people follow the law and avoid skipping traffic by driving on the shoulder as tempting as it may be, but sometimes, the intrusive thoughts do win. The driver of this Ford F-150 gave into their inner demons and tried to shave off some time by driving on the shoulder to skip bumper-to-bumper traffic, but they quickly found out that was the wrong place to try that stunt.

Video still of the Ford F-150 being pulled over for driving on the shoulder in traffic.

Appropriately posted to the r/IdiotsInCars community on Reddit, the video shows a long line of traffic stacked up in front of the cam car. Then, on the right side of the screen, a white 2009-2014 Ford F-150  appears, driving on the shoulder. Of course, that’s not what the shoulder is for, and they’re flagrantly breaking the law.

The cam car continues on their way as the Ford F-150 disappears down the road, but then, a few moments later – as described by the video – they come across the pickup again. But this time, it’s not alone. A convenient cop has pulled them over, presumably to issue a ticket for driving on the shoulder. Though there’s no sound in the video, if the cammer had burst into laughter as they passed, it wouldn’t be surprising, because who doesn’t love to see justice in action?

That Ford F-150 driver probably won’t be doing that again, and if they do, then it will be on record that this isn’t their first time trying to be a wise guy and skip traffic on the shoulder, so they can’t say they’ve never heard otherwise.

It’s always nice when a cop jumps out of seemingly thin air to bust someone for doing something stupid on the road. The driver of a Ford Fusion tried to take off after being involved in a hit and run a few years ago, but they didn’t get too far before a policeman pulled up to dish out justice.

  1. The white ones because many of those are commercial vehicles and drivers are more concerned about getting to their next job on time. And distracted by phone directions. I was almost T-boned by one a while back.
