Ford F-150 Driver’s Right On Red Will Make You Cringe: Video

Inattentive drivers are a constant hazard, whether they’re glued to their phones, lost in thought, or just plain oblivious. From drifting out of their lanes to sudden stops and unpredictable moves, they can turn everyday driving into a high-stakes guessing game. Take this Ford Expedition, whose driver blasted through a red light to make a left turn, cutting off the cammer without even a second thought. That seems to be a common occurrence, unfortunately, and this time, the driver of a Ford F-150 is at fault, turning right on a red in the worst way they possibly could have.

Video still of the Ford F-150 in the act of running a red light in downtown Dallas, Texas. Thankfully they didn't hit anyone.

The video was recorded in downtown Dallas, Texas, by the original poster to the r/Dashcam community on Reddit. As the cammer approaches an intersection, a 12th-gen Ford F-150 approaches what should be a stoplight on their end – but drives right through it. While they didn’t shoot through the intersection at Mach 10, they take the turn as slow as as can be, and that’s almost worse. They drift into the cammer’s lane like they’re out for a Sunday sightseeing drive, forcing the cam car to slow down dramatically.

Thankfully the cammer was paying attention and able to avoid an accident as the Ford F-150 continues on, slow as can be. There’s no telling what caused them to drive like that, but it’s possible they were confused by construction signs and a work van parked in traffic. Whatever the case, after impeding the cammer for a little while, the Ford F-150 peels off onto a side road. Free of that obstacle, the cammer continues on and promptly proceeds to get cut off by a second driver in a Toyota. Some days, there’s just no winning.

While what this Ford F-150 driver did was annoying, it wasn’t as bad as what another F-150 did in traffic not too long ago. This one – plastered in company logos, mind you – thought it was more important than the other drivers waiting at a light, illegally pulling around them to cut in line, although it didn’t save the driver much time, it seems.

  1. There’s another bad problem with drivers making rights. We have a major interstate off-ramp nearby with a “Yield” sign at the end of the ramp. Do most drivers pay any attention to that sign? No way. At least one bad accident a week. Drivers have totally lost it since the start of the pandemic and behind-the-wheel distractions have gotten far worse in those 5 years. Automakers to blame for a lot of the latter.

  3. In PA, a state law offers a 5% discount from your insurance company for drivers 50 years and older for doing a voluntary drivers training course, with recertification after 3years.
That would be a great idea for all ages and all states.

  4. Look that’s city driving. No big deal.

What I find more shocking is Ford can’t seem to update BlueCruise for 3 years and we paid 4 grand
