Ford F-150 Pickup Collides With Car, Causes Explosion: Video

As one-half of the perennially best-selling F-Series duo, the Ford F-150 is a common sight on U.S. roadways – no matter where one might reside. This popularity also means that we witness our fair share of accidents involving Ford F-150 pickups, ranging from mild fender benders up to more shocking and sometimes tragic accidents. That fact is clearly on display in this recent video that shows a rather eye-opening incident involving an F-150 and a parked vehicle that occurred in California recently.

A photo showing the exterior of a Ford F-150 crashing into a parked car from a rear angle.

This particular incident reportedly happened on SR52 in Santee, California, and was captured on film by a vehicle traveling in the center lane. As we can see in the clip, a white Ford F-150 soon comes into view from the right, and it’s clearly traveling at a higher rate of speed. For reasons unknown, the pickup is also driving along the median and not on the actual highway, which quickly becomes a big problem when it approaches a parked vehicle in that same space.

The resulting collision is quite violent, sending parts flying high in the air and the Ford F-150 pickup spinning before it rolls over on its roof. At the same time, a fire breaks out, engulfing the other vehicle in flames and leaving it a mangled, burning mess. It’s unclear if anyone was in the parked vehicle when the collision occurred, but we certainly hope that wasn’t the case. It’s also unclear if anyone – including the F-150 driver/occupants – were injured as a result.

Of course, this certainly isn’t the only shocking Ford F-150 involved crash we’ve witnessed recently. Earlier this year, video surfaced showing a F-150 making a rapid lane change and PITing itself as a result, while another pickup hit a median and wound up taking out a Tesla Model Y in the process, too.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
