Back in early 2021 – when the pandemic was raging on and it was difficult to find new vehicles of any kind – Ford launched its new Blue Advantage program, which was aimed at providing customers with the next best thing in terms of certified pre-owned models. That program went on to enjoy tremendous success, and now, the company’s Ford Pro commercial business unit has launched something similar, albeit, as a way to help fleet customers find upfitted versions of select Blue Oval models.
The new marketplace of sorts is called LocateFordWorkTrucks.com, which was developed in partnership with Work Truck Solutions. It provides Ford Pro customers with a tool that helps them search nationwide inventory of upfitted versions of Ford Super Duty pickup and Chassis Cab, Ford Transit, and E-Transit models, along with others, all in various body styles and upfitted in a number of ways. LocateFordWorkTrucks.com allows customers to locate in-stock, upfitted work trucks at Ford dealers nationwide, using various filters to whittle down the make and model, upfit type, vehicle class, fuel type, and other notable features.
“LocateFordWorkTrucks.com helps reduce the wait times associated with traditional upfitting, helping ensure our customers can get the vehicles they need to drive their businesses forward,” said Esteban Plaza-Jennings, upfit strategy manager, Ford Pro. “This is just another example of how we’re committed to simplifying operations and helping customers be more efficient. There’s a reason Ford has been the commercial vehicle leader for 40 years – our commitment to fostering strong relationships with customers and upfitters alike helps everyone build on a proud legacy of productivity.”
“This collaboration is a testament to the shared commitment of Ford Pro and Work Truck Solutions to provide unparalleled tools that serve customers on their journey and strengthen the ability of dealerships to deliver what their buyers need, all while adding efficiency and value to the entire commercial vehicle ecosystem,” said Kathryn Schifferle, founder and Chief Vision Officer at Work Truck Solutions.
