Last November, The Blue Oval teased the Ford Ranger Super Duty for the very first time, which is pretty much what one might think – a supremely capable version of the mid-size pickup. Shortly after that teaser surfaced, Ford Authority spotted a Ford Ranger Super Duty prototype testing in Michigan, giving us our first look at what to expect from the new heavy-duty hauler, followed by another sighting in Europe. Now, we’re learning that we won’t have to wait much longer for the all-new Ford Ranger Super Duty to make its official debut.

The Blue Oval has officially announced that it will reveal the Ford Ranger Super Duty on April 4th, 2025, at 12:30pm AEDT via its Australian YouTube channel, and that video is already up and ready for the truck’s debut, which we’ve embedded below. That reveal will present us with all of the information we need to know about the first-ever Ranger Super Duty, but in all fairness, quite a few key details have already surfaced.
As Ford Authority previously reported, the Ranger Super Duty will share some parts with the F-250 – including its eight-stud hubs (spotted on another prototype last December) and 33-inch all-terrain tires. In terms of the exterior, the Ranger Super Duty features wider front wheel arches, a snorkel, a high-clearance front bumper, skid plate, and a flat bed in the rear that sports a protective cage for the rear glass – a feature that’s been present on every prototype we’ve seen thus far.
FoMoCo also previously revealed that the Ford Ranger Super Duty will offer up 9,920 pounds of max towing capacity, which is significantly more than the regular Ranger’s 7,500-pound rating in the U.S. Though that puts it on par with the Ford F-150 in some configurations, both of those pickups will continue to co-exist in Australia, though it’s unclear what other markets the Ford Ranger Super Duty might also be sold in at this time.
