The Ford Authority Take

As has been the case since its launch over a decade ago, the Ford Transit remains far and away the sales leader in its competitive set, outpacing the segment average this quarter and for all of 2024. Meanwhile, combined sales of the Transit and the E-Series gave The Blue Oval an even more dominant position during Q4.

This compares favorably to GM’s duo, the Chevy Express and GMC Savana, which are old vehicles that date back to the 1990s. In fact, the GM vans are the oldest models in their segment, while also being the oldest GM vehicles currently in production.

The dominant performance of the Transit is great news for The Blue Oval, since Transit represents a big part of its Ford Pro (commercial) business.
